Junior Age Groups - 2022

Pooling

Once your registration is received, your child will be allocated to a team.  All our junior members are pooled based on Age, Gender and Ability.  Our Volunteer Pooling Coordinators will assign a junior member to a team.  These teams will be reviewed during the first 3 weeks of competition.  Should a player need to move into a different team or division this will be communicated.  The aim of Pooling is to ensure a fun but competitive competition. 

Team Lists

The team lists are posted 3-4 days prior to the competition commencing on our social media and webpage. Teams should consist of 7 players.  However, this is dependent on the team and if necessary, will increase to 8.

Games

Games are played once a week.  The game and time schedule will be determined by the number of registrations we receive. Game times for our juniors can range anywhere between 4:30 pm and 8:00 pm.  We currently don't offer organised domestic traning for our teams

Uniforms

Singlets are provied by WBA.  As part of the registration a junior singlet levy is paid and becomes refundable when the singlet is returned generally at the conclusion of a season.  All junior members are required to wear black basketball shorts (no pockets or stripes).  Singlets will be made available prior to the competition start.  If collecting a singlet  on the night of play please allow 5-10 minutes for this process.

Coaching

Juniors are coached by volunteer parents.  All volunteers must ensure that they have a Working with Children's Check card and be registered to PlayHQ.   WBA will provide Coaches Education Sessions during the season.

Game fees are included as part of the registration at time of sign up.
